Day 41: bali, here we come!
Arrived in Bali this evening to a beeeaaauuuuuutiiiful villa just a mere 5-minute walk from Legian beach and right off the road from Jelan Double Six – the popular lounge/club road.

Sandy booked us a great villa at the Andari Bali Villas (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!). We were in one of six villas; ours was named Sambawa – a three bedroom villa. Fully equipped with everything you need. Internet, A/C, good sound system, good TV + cable, daily maid service, gardeners and an on-call driver. Oh.. and a pool, with a view into the outdoor living room. So….
We spent the night in the pool, watching “Tropic Thunder”. Yes, a movie FROM THE POOL!! Wicked.
Also, our lesson for the day… Balinese names are based on the order of birth.
First child = Wayan, Putu, Gede (M), Iluh (F)
Second child = Made, Kadek, Nengah
Third child = Nyoman, Komang
Fourth child = Ketut
Fifth child (!) = wash and repeat from #1
The view of the villa when you walk in…

Rooms that overlook the pool. Not beach view, but frankly, our pool looks better than the beaches

Beats my Ikea bed

Our living room/party area/napping area… note the duty free alcohol. Apparently, Bali is in the middle of an “alcohol crisis”, so we didn’t risk it

The pool…

Best seat in the house in the morning/early afternoon. The sun fills that little hut perfectly. Future nap spot.

Yet more napping areas…

Lastly, our reference photo. Pastey much?

That some detailed Bali adventure indeed. Andari Villa is also my favorite because of their great service and distinct ambiance.
