Took a great surfing lesson from the Billabong sponsored “Pro Surf School” in Kuta. Got a semi-private intermediate I lesson with “Freddy” (awesome guy!) and finally got some technique into my repertoire. Great thing about this place is that they guarantee a three-to-one student-to-coach ratio. That’s a huge bonus!
He taught us the proper way to handle paddling through waves and how to stand-up with the proper stance and balance. Cost around $45 for a half-day lesson. One of the more expensive outfits , but definitely worth it for the beginners and novices out there.
By the end of the day, I was standing all the time about 80% of the time on “white-water”. Conditions in Kuta weren’t good enough to let us try anything but white-water, but we played with the idea of doing a surf trek another day.
Highly recommended! Check them out!
Sorry, no pics today. Something about being in the water makes it difficult to use the camera.
