Seriously… he did! And I have photo evidence… keep going…
We headed inland today to check out the non-beach, cultural areas of Bali. First stop: Padangtegal Mandala Wisata Wanara Wana. Mmm yah.. Monkey Forest it is.

First thing we did was buy a bunch of bananas and split it amongst the group. Everyone walked in with about five mini-bananas each. The game? See how long you can keep your bananas. Anything is fair game. Stuff it down your pants, said the monkeys, we DARE you.
Look! They even smile and hug! False advertising I tell you. What this really says is… I’m cute and adorable, but my claws are sharp, I’m hungry and you look like a giant banana.

Less than two minutes later…
“I GIVE UP… MERCY!!… TAKE THEM ALL!”

Jean didn’t last much longer…

Since we were obviously outwitted, we tried to blend in.

And then there was peace… a few of our recently fed friends.

Happy to leave with our lives, we ventured off to the market to do a little “cultural” shopping… only to be met by more bananas. Seriously, does anyone know what the deal is?

Finally, we capped the day with a little visit to the much photographed terraced rice paddies.

And, of course, my obligatory jumping shot.
