road trip to montreal!!
Salut!
Just two weekends ago, eight of us trekked North across the 49th parallel to my naturalized motherland, Canada. Didn’t quite make it all the way back West to Vancouver, but we did make it to the party central city of French-speaking Montreal, Quebec – pronounced Mon-ray-al Kay-beck *plug your nose* Weh Weh. I keed… I keed…
Much like Vegas, we made sure to “do it right.” Renowned for its clubs, both types that is, we were sure to sample an ample portion of each. On top of that, however, we did manage to find time to do a little bit of the day-time sightseeing including a visit to one of (if not the best) university in Canada, McGill, and the famous Basilique Notre-Damn de Montreal.
As with all my posts, photo evidence is below… au revoir!
Enjoying lunch cafe style on Rue Saint Arthur – the pedestrian only cafe strip

Taking a tour around McGill campus… looks like UBC, non?

Grabbing a bevvy on Rue Crescent – the chic bar/retail boulevard

Our first night at Club Opera, partying to the Obama song

Alor! Some friends…

Unfortunately, a recent loser in Saturday’s UFC, Chuck Liddell stumbled past our table

Nothing like a poutine to wrap up the night… and feeling it in your stomach the next morning.

A quick visit to the Notre Dame

… with intricate architecture and design everywhere. Gotta say, quite breathtaking!

Stopped to light a quick candle and name-drop a few friends and family in a prayer.

Lastly, on our way out, we stopped by a hick francophone town – managed to find the limit of my French here. Quoi?!
